Tell us a little bit more about yourself and what you do.
I am a director, animator, and illustrator. Currently, I run https://thefurrow.tv – a small collaborative animation shop. We’ve worked on projects for a handful of named brands and continue to get to do more exciting stuff every day!
How has your state influenced the work that you do?
Kentucky is a beautiful place, with great people. Primarily I’d say it’s influenced the way I do business and the goals I set my heart on. My goal is to always treat everyone with the same respect and professionalism I would want if I worked for myself.
Of your own work, what is your favourite project and why?
It’s tough to pick just one since I have had fun on lots of projects. The collaborative project we did for The Furrow has been one as it was the most diverse project I’ve gotten to work on. The work I did on the Facebook Reactions would have to be a front runner. Just knowing how many people my work has reached is pretty neat.
And finally, if you died and got reincarnated as a song, what would that song be?
I am a big fan of hip-hop, but I don’t necessarily believe the content of those songs reflect what I might become. To overthink the question, I’d like to say I’d come back as any song written by Ólafur Arnalds. You could almost pick any; they’re all excellent.
- Origin of ‘Mother’s Day’, the ‘Happy Birthday to You’ song, and, of course, Colonel Sanders.
- Kentucky became the 15th State on 1st June 1792
- Fort Knox contains the world’s largest stockpile of gold ($6 billion)
Seth Eckert is the 78th winner of our 366 awards.
